Dr. Jess is passionate in her mission to impact the lives of animals by helping them return to a place of balance and reconnection to their natural rhythms through chiropractic care.
Dr. Jess’ Story
Dr. Jess was born and raised in the Santa Cruz, California. Her and her partner decided to move to Apple River, IL after experiencing first hand the warmth, kindness and beauty this small town has to share. She is honored to be a part of this new community and hopes to positively impact the lives of both the humans and animals she meets.
Her passion for animals started as a young girl captivated by the grace and acceptance they so freely offered. She grew up around the horse barn mixed in mud and the smell of hay. She always says animals were and are her greatest teachers.
Dr. Jess fell in love with Chiropractic and its beautiful philosophy in her youth after a severe fall from a horse. What started out as a way to continue her passion of riding has turned into a life-long mission of service. Her real joy comes in watching animals reconnect to the deep wisdom within and find ease in their body as they navigate life.
Outside of the office, Dr. Jess enjoys as much time as possible either in nature or around good food (preferably both). She is close with her family and her four-legged best friend, Pacha. Taking rest is a guiding principle for Dr. Jess and is something she has come to find in quiet mornings and slowness.

Qualifications
Dr. Jess completed her Doctorate of Chiropractic at Life West Chiropractic College in the San Francisco Bay Area.
After graduating with honors, she studied an additional 240 hours at the Animal Chiropractic Education Source to specialize in small animals and equine chiropractic.
Dr. Jess earned her Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Field and Wildlife Biology from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where she graduated with honors.
